Pharma Deutschland warns of impact on Sachsen-Anhalt industry

Pharma Deutschland has expressed concern regarding the recent state election results in Sachsen-Anhalt, warning of potential impacts on the region's pharmaceutical industry. Dorothee Brakmann, the organization's Managing Director, emphasized that the sector requires a cosmopolitan social climate to attract international talent and ensure continued innovation.

Brakmann noted that without such conditions, future pharmaceutical production could be significantly hindered, making new investments and company settlements less likely. The industry plays a critical role in Germany's healthcare, with member companies providing nearly 80 percent of over-the-counter medicines and approximately two-thirds of prescription drugs sold in pharmacies.
