Pharmaceutical Society of Australia honors intern and harm‑reduction champion

The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) awarded Tayler Holdman MPS, an intern pharmacist from Merimbula, New South Wales, the 2026 PSA MIMS Intern Pharmacist of the Year. PSA National President Professor Mark Naunton praised her leadership, patient‑care focus, health‑literacy work and efforts to expand access to services in regional NSW.

In a separate announcement, PSA named Krishna Nathwani MPS of Victoria as its first Harm Reduction Champion, supported by a Camurus grant. Victorian State Manager Jarrod McMaugh highlighted her role in establishing a community‑pharmacy long‑acting injectable buprenorphine program, noting the award’s aim to strengthen pharmacist leadership in harm‑reduction, improve access to care and reduce stigma.

Both recognitions underscore PSA’s focus on advancing pharmacy practice, patient outcomes and broader community health initiatives across Australia.
