Pharmacist Viviane Gomes Ferreira dies at 37 in Godoy Moreira, Brazil

Viviane Gomes Ferreira, a 37‑year‑old pharmacist who worked at a local pharmacy in Godoy Moreira, Brazil, died on 28 July 2026 after a sudden illness, emergency surgery and a stay in intensive care. Her family confirmed the death and said she had been hospitalized in an ICU the week before her passing.

Ferreira was widely known in the municipality for her close, personal care of patients and strong ties to the community. She was the daughter of Dona Cida and sister of Elton Gomes, locally referred to as “Buiu” and “Pança do Mercado”. The family announced that the funeral would be held at the town’s Centre of Events.
