Phasmophobia reaches 30 million copies sold
Kinetic Games' cooperative horror title, Phasmophobia, has reached a significant milestone, selling over 30 million copies across PC and consoles since its early access launch in 2020. Originally a solo project by developer Daniel Knight, the game has grown into a major title in the genre.
To celebrate this achievement, the Crimson Eye seasonal event has returned, running from October 8 to November 1, 2026. The event introduces increased difficulty, including faster ghosts and quicker mental stability depletion, set against a red blood moon atmosphere. Players can earn exclusive rewards such as the Beholder ID card, Blood Moon charms, and seasonal apparel by completing investigations at locations like Tanglewood Drive and Edgefield Road.
The game is available on PC via Steam for $19.99, supporting both flat-screen and VR gameplay, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
