Phil Ellis reveals hair transplant decision followed ‘Taskmaster’ appearance

Comedian and actor Phil Ellis has shared that his decision to undergo a hair transplant was prompted by seeing himself on camera during the Channel 4 show ‘Taskmaster’. The 44-year-old contestant, who appeared in season 20, noted that while he had previously made peace with his gradual hair thinning, a bird’s-eye view of his head on the program made the balding more apparent.

Ellis received the procedure in January. He mentioned using a photo of actor Jude Law as a reference for his desired hairline, though he joked about the differences in their appearances. He noted that the regrowth has significantly increased his confidence, while adding that he does not wish to pressure others into the procedure but supports individuals doing what makes them feel better.
