Phil Foden signs new four‑year contract with Manchester City until 2030

England midfielder Phil Foden has signed a new four‑year contract – with an option for a further year – that will keep him at Manchester City until the summer of 2030. The 26‑year‑old academy graduate, who made his first‑team debut in 2017, said, “Committing my future to City means everything to me. Playing for this club is all I have ever wanted to do and it is always an honour to wear the shirt.”

Foden has made 369 senior appearances for City, scoring 110 goals and providing 68 assists, and has collected 20 major trophies, including six Premier League titles, five League Cups, three FA Cups, the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. He missed England’s 2026 World Cup squad but will start the new season under incoming manager Enzo Maresca, replacing Pep Guardiola.

The contract reinforces City’s commitment to one of its most decorated homegrown players and ends speculation about his future, despite reported interest from clubs such as Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
