Phil Jurkovec arrested for alleged hospital truck theft

Former University of Pittsburgh and Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec, 26, has been arrested following the alleged theft of a box truck from a hospital parking garage in Pennsylvania.

According to a criminal complaint, the incident occurred at the Allegheny Health Network’s Wexford Hospital in Pine. An employee of Rental Time Rentals reported seeing a man enter the cab of a Ford box truck and drive away from the valet garage on Route 19. The vehicle was subsequently tracked via GPS through Warrendale and Cranberry.

The Cranberry Police Department stopped the vehicle on Family Road. Jurkovec was charged by the Highmark Health Police Department with felony counts of theft and receiving stolen property. A district judge set bail at $25,000. Jurkovec, a former high school standout at Pine-Richland, remains in jail as his legal counsel has declined to comment.
