Phil Moran reflects on career as premier Australian classical guitarist

Phil Moran, recognized as one of Australia’s premier classical guitarists, has spent nearly a decade teaching at the Orange Regional Conservatorium. His musical journey began with a gifted guitar at age nine, which eventually led to a global career involving solo recitals, concerto performances, and collaborations with major artists.

Moran has performed at venues such as the Sydney Opera House and has appeared as a guest soloist with orchestras including the Sydney Youth Orchestra. Beyond his professional performances, he remains dedicated to music education, recently noting the progress of students reaching advanced musical grades.
