Phil Taylor announces return to competitive darts
Phil Taylor, the 16-time PDC World Champion, has announced his return to competitive darts. The 66-year-old legend is ending a retirement that began after the 2018 World Championships and his subsequent departure from the World Seniors circuit in 2024.
Taylor will compete in the MODUS Super Series International Pairs tournament, held in Portsmouth from November 23 to 28. He will reunite with former protégé and two-time world champion Adrian Lewis to represent England. The duo previously won four World Cup of Darts titles together between 2012 and 2016.
Taylor stated that the opportunity to play alongside Lewis was the primary motivation for his comeback, noting that Lewis is one of the few players he would return for. The tournament is scheduled to be broadcast live on Pluto TV.
