World Grand Prix 2026 darts tournament to begin in Leicester

The 2026 PDC World Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from September 28 to October 4 at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester. The tournament features a 32-player field competing in the unique ‘double-in, double-out’ format, where players must hit a double to start and finish every leg.

Reigning champion Luke Littler headlines the event as he seeks to become only the third player to retain the title. Other notable competitors include world number one Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, and Gerwyn Price. The total prize fund for this year’s tournament has been increased to £750,000.

German player Niko Springer will participate as the sole representative from Germany in a PDC major. The field is composed of the top 16 players from the PDC Order of Merit and the top 16 performers from the 12-month ProTour rankings.
