Philadelphia 76ers sign Tacko Fall to two-way contract

The Philadelphia 76ers have converted Tacko Fall’s Exhibit 10 contract into a two-way deal. The 7-foot-6 center will provide much-needed frontcourt depth following injuries to other players in the rotation.

Fall, 30, has missed preseason action due to a strained hip, but his presence in the locker room and performance prior to the injury reportedly made a positive impression. He joins Caleb Love and Rayan Rupert as one of the team’s three two-way players. The move addresses a shortage at the center position, as Adem Bona is managing a foot sprain and Ariel Hukporti is sidelined for the season with a torn Achilles.

Fall previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics between 2019 and 2022. Since then, he has competed in China and for the New Zealand Breakers in Australia’s National Basketball League. His new contract pays $678,882 and allows him to appear in up to 50 regular-season games.
