Philadelphia 76ers sign veteran guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Kentavious Caldwell‑Pope reached a buyout agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies and will sign a one‑year, $3.9 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers after clearing waivers. The 33‑year‑old wing joins a roster already featuring LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and other recent acquisitions.

Caldwell‑Pope, a two‑time NBA champion (2020 with the Los Angeles Lakers and 2023 with the Denver Nuggets), is expected to provide three‑and‑D defense and playoff experience. He recovered from pinkie‑finger surgery that ended his Memphis season, and his recent production dipped to 8.4 points, 2.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game with a three‑point shooting percentage under 35%.
