Philadelphia dining scene expands with new Italian-inspired venues
New dining destinations are emerging in Philadelphia, highlighted by the opening of Bar Cicci in the Rittenhouse area. Founded by Ellen Yin and the High Street Hospitality team, the establishment is modeled after the Italian aperitivo tradition, aiming to provide a space for guests to unwind.
The concept draws inspiration from Venice and Milan, specifically focusing on ‘cichetti’, which are Venice-style small plates. The menu spans various times of day, offering espresso and Italian pastries like cornetti and maritozzo in the mornings, panini and pizza bianca for lunch, and wine, cocktails, and small bites in the evening.
Other recent additions to the local dining scene include a new pizza shop and Waltz, which brings South Philadelphia influences to the region.
