Philadelphia Eagles consider Haason Reddick reunion amid Jonathan Greenard injury
The Philadelphia Eagles are facing defensive uncertainty due to a pectoral injury sustained by edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. Greenard, who signed a four-year, $98 million extension following a trade from the Minnesota Vikings, has been on the physically unable to perform list since July and has missed training camp and the preseason.
Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio indicated that Greenard may not be available for the regular-season opener against the Washington Commanders. Concerns have been raised regarding Greenard’s injury history, as he has struggled with availability throughout his career.
To address the potential void in the pass rush, reports suggest the Eagles may pursue a reunion with Haason Reddick. Reddick, who played for Philadelphia in 2022 and 2023, previously recorded 16 sacks and 11 sacks during those respective seasons.
