Philadelphia Eagles implement new tailgating rules for oversized vehicles
The Sports Complex Parking Venture is implementing new parking regulations for oversized vehicles at Lincoln Financial Field, effective October 4 during the Philadelphia Eagles game against the Los Angeles Rams. The policy specifically targets fans arriving in RVs, buses, or trailers.
Under the new rules, oversized vehicles will be directed to designated areas in Lot D and the upper section of Lot N. Drivers will no longer be permitted to choose or reserve specific parking spaces. Additionally, the cost for oversized vehicle parking will increase to $200 for four spaces, with the option to purchase two extra spaces for $100.
The organization stated that these changes aim to improve traffic flow, maintain clear lanes, and ensure parking availability. The policy was developed following feedback from city and community stakeholders. However, longtime fans have expressed concerns that the loss of preferred spots and increased costs may negatively impact the local tailgating tradition.
