Philadelphia Eagles place Landon Dickerson and Eli Stowers on injured reserve
The Philadelphia Eagles are facing significant roster challenges following several injuries during the start of the NFL season. Starting left guard and three-time Pro Bowler Landon Dickerson has been placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Dickerson, who had been playing through various ailments, is expected to miss at least the next four games. Potential replacements for his position include Drew Kendall or Willie Lampkin.
Additionally, rookie tight end Eli Stowers is also heading to injured reserve after dealing with lingering quadriceps and hamstring injuries. His absence leaves the Eagles with limited depth at the tight end position, currently relying on Dallas Goedert, Johnny Mundt, and E. J. Jenkins.
Regarding the quarterback position, the Eagles have designated Andy Dalton as the primary backup to Jalen Hurts. Tanner McKee was listed as inactive for the Week 1 game against the Washington Commanders but serves as the emergency third quarterback.
