Philadelphia Eagles running backs face injury setbacks

The Philadelphia Eagles are facing significant injuries within their running back rotation. Star running back Saquon Barkley left the game against the Los Angeles Rams in the first quarter due to a hamstring injury. Head coach Nick Sirianni stated that the team is awaiting further medical evaluations and expects to have more clarity regarding Barkley's status by Wednesday. His availability for the upcoming Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London remains uncertain.

Adding to the depth concerns, Tank Bigsby is expected to be placed on Injured Reserve for at least six weeks following a core muscle injury that requires surgery. As a result of these setbacks, rookie Will Shipley is positioned to take on a more prominent role in the Eagles' rushing offense.
