Philadelphia Eagles sign 13 players to practice squad

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced the signing of 13 players to their practice squad ahead of the upcoming season. Notable additions include running back Dameon Pierce, a former fourth-round pick by the Houston Texans, and running back Carson Steele. Other signings include running back Jaydon Blue, wide receiver Britain Covey, and defensive players such as EDGE Keyshawn James-Newby, Mason Reiger, Gabe Hall, and Uar Bernard.

This roster expansion follows significant decisions made by general manager Howie Roseman regarding the team’s initial 53-man roster. This year’s roster configuration is unique, as the Eagles have opted to keep four quarterbacks, six wide receivers, four tight ends, and six cornerbacks. Roseman noted the high value placed on developing the quarterback position, emphasizing the long-term importance of having depth behind Jalen Hurts.
