Philadelphia Eagles tailgaters face new parking rules

The Sports Complex Parking Venture has implemented new parking regulations at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, impacting Philadelphia Eagles tailgaters. Under the updated policy, owners of oversized vehicles can no longer select their own parking locations and must instead use assigned spaces in Lots D and N.

The new pricing structure for these vehicles requires $200 for four spaces and $100 for up to two additional spaces, allowing a maximum of six spaces total. While the changes initially drew significant opposition and led to the formation of the Philadelphia Tailgating Association, recent discussions between officials and fans have resulted in some adjustments.

One compromise allows regular-sized vehicles to enter designated oversized vehicle lots during the first hour of opening to unload supplies before moving to permanent parking. The Philadelphia Tailgating Association and parking officials plan to meet again to evaluate the effectiveness of these changes and discuss potential further adjustments.
