Philadelphia Eagles trade A.J. Brown to Patriots and roll out Moneyball‑style receiver rebuild

In response, the Eagles have adopted a “Moneyball” approach to replace Brown. DeVonta Smith steps into the role of primary receiver, while a committee of younger players – first‑round pick Makai Lemon, rookie Dontayvion Wicks, and free‑agent addition Hollywood (Marquise) Brown – will share the load.
