Philadelphia Flyers agree five-year extension with goalie Dan Vladar

The Philadelphia Flyers will sign goaltender Dan Vladar to a five‑year contract extension beginning July 1. The deal carries an average annual value of $5.5 million and runs through the 2031‑32 season.

Vladar, 28, posted a .906 save percentage and a 2.42 goals‑against average in the 2025‑26 regular season and improved to a .922 save percentage with a 2.18 GAA in the playoffs, including a 42‑save shutout in the series‑clinching win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. He previously earned the Bobby Clarke Award as the Flyers’ most valuable player.

The extension keeps Vladar as the team’s number‑one netminder, pairing him next season with backup Joseph Woll, acquired from Toronto in a June trade.
