NHL preseason concludes with Capitals victory over Bruins

NHL teams are finalizing rosters as the preseason concludes. The Washington Capitals defeated the Boston Bruins 3-2 in overtime, with Jordan Kyrou scoring just 11 seconds into the extra period to secure the win.

Earlier in the preseason, the Philadelphia Flyers secured a 2-0 shutout victory against the Bruins, led by goals from Matvei Michkov and Cole Knuble and a shutout performance by Joseph Woll. During the Flyers' matchup, defenseman Helge Grans left the game with a lower-body injury.

As teams prepare for the regular season, significant roster moves are underway. The Washington Capitals waived veteran defenseman Justin Holl, while the Boston Bruins placed Alex Steeves and Lukas Reichel on waivers. The Bruins also announced a veteran-heavy lineup for their final exhibition game to prepare for their upcoming season opener.
