Philadelphia Flyers extend contracts of goalie Daniel Vladař and forward Trevor Zegras

Goalkeeper Daniel Vladař, a Czech native who has been training in the Czech Republic with Radek Gudas, agreed to a five‑year extension with the Philadelphia Flyers worth $27.5 million, keeping him with the club through the 2032 season. The deal follows a two‑year, $6.7 million contract that began last year.

Forward Trevor Zegras also signed a new contract that makes him the highest‑paid player on the Flyers, surpassing Travis Konecny. The 25‑year‑old, who was acquired from Anaheim, said the larger salary brings higher expectations, and he is working to become a full‑time first‑line centre. Both players highlighted the team's confidence after reaching the playoffs following the Olympic break and expressed optimism about building on that success.
