Philadelphia Flyers face mounting injuries as Cam York goes to IR

The Philadelphia Flyers are facing mounting injury concerns as defenseman Cam York has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury, retroactive to Oct. 8. To fill the vacancy, the team has recalled defenseman Hunter McDonald from their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

In addition to York, winger Owen Tippett is considered a game-time decision for the upcoming matchup against the Ottawa Senators due to an upper-body injury. Head coach Rick Tocchet noted that Tippett was absent from the morning skate, though the injury is reportedly unrelated to the sports hernia he suffered during the previous Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Flyers are already managing absences from Rasmus Ristolainen and Travis Konecny.
