Philadelphia Flyers re-sign Russian winger Nikita Grebenkin
The Philadelphia Flyers announced a two‑year extension for forward Nikita Grebenkin, valued at $2.2 million total with an average annual value of $1.1 million. Grebenkin, 23, completed his first full NHL season in 2025‑26, posting four goals and ten assists for 14 points in 55 games. He was originally acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs in a trade that sent Scott Laughton to Toronto and also included a conditional 2027 first‑round pick.
Before joining the Flyers, Grebenkin played three seasons in the KHL, earning a spot in the 2023‑24 All‑Star Game and helping Metallurg Magnitogorsk win the Gagarin Cup. The extension secures the young Russian winger through the 2027‑28 season as Philadelphia continues to build around its emerging core and seeks to improve its offensive depth ahead of the next campaign.
