Philadelphia investigators search Olney home linked to seven missing women
Philadelphia police and the FBI are conducting an extensive forensic investigation at a residence on Chew Avenue in the Olney neighborhood. The search is linked to seven missing or unidentified women. Investigators have been using luminol to detect traces of blood that are not visible to the naked eye, and have been dismantling walls and floors to search for forensic evidence.
Authorities recently cleared the home of household items, appliances, and lab equipment for testing or disposal. While cremated remains were discovered inside the property, no bodies have been found. The investigation intensified following the arrest of Eugene Horsch on weapons and drug charges, during which investigators say he and an accomplice provided a fake government ID bearing the name of a missing woman.
Law enforcement officials have also linked one million pieces of digital material found at the site to the missing women. Next steps in the investigation include using heavy machinery to excavate the backyard and dismantle a shed, as well as conducting detailed searches for hair or fibers, potentially utilizing K-9 officers.
