This outing was the third MLB game played at the site, following previous games in 2021 and 2022. The 2026 game was notable for being the first held within a newly constructed permanent stadium adjacent to the original movie field and farmhouse.

Approximately 8,000 fans attended the event, which featured 26 Hall of Famers and VIPs. The site, inspired by the 1989 film starring Kevin Costner, remains a significant tourist attraction where the baseball diamond is set amidst cornfields.
