Philadelphia Phillies draft Kentucky right‑hander Jaxon Jelkin and Louisville left‑hander Wyatt Danilowicz in 2026 MLB (
The Philadelphia Phillies selected Kentucky pitcher Jaxon Jelkin in the fourth round (135th overall) of the 2026 MLB Draft. Jelkin, a right‑hander from Omaha, posted an 8‑3 record, a 4.08 ERA and 106 strikeouts in 97 innings for the Wildcats, earning a spot on the Midwest All‑Region First Team and the ABCA/Rawlings All‑SEC Second Team.
In the eighth round (249th overall), the Phillies also chose Louisville left‑hander Wyatt Danilowicz. Danilowicz logged 14 starts, a 6.00 ERA and 84 strikeouts over 69 innings in his senior year, and was a key bullpen arm in Louisville’s 2025 College World Series run.
