Philadelphia Phillies hire Peter Fatse as hitting coach

The Philadelphia Phillies have hired Peter Fatse as their new hitting coach, according to reports from The Athletic. Fatse, who was previously drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2009, replaces Kevin Long, who was recently dismissed.

The coaching change follows the Phillies' decision to name Don Mattingly as the full-time manager on a two-year contract after his tenure as interim manager. The move aims to address offensive inconsistencies that have impacted the team, including high strikeout rates and a lack of production in scoring positions despite a lineup featuring players such as Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, and Kyle Schwarber.
