Philadelphia Phillies may move Trea Turner to center field

The Philadelphia Phillies are considering a defensive shift for Trea Turner, potentially moving the three-time All-Star from shortstop to center field if he is not traded during the offseason. This move follows a difficult defensive season for Turner, who recorded over 20 errors and struggled during the postseason.

Reports suggest that top prospect Aidan Miller could replace Turner at shortstop. This transition highlights ongoing discussions regarding the Phillies' roster construction, as the team has relied heavily on external acquisitions rather than internal player development to maintain its competitive core.
