Philadelphia Union to face Sporting Kansas City amid strong form

The Philadelphia Union prepares to face Sporting Kansas City this Saturday following a period of strong performance. The Union are currently on a four-match winning streak and a 10-match unbeaten run in MLS, having recently secured two consecutive 5-0 victories. 16-year-old Cavan Sullivan has been a key contributor, scoring multiple goals in recent outings and earning a call-up to the United States men’s national team.

Philadelphia interim head coach Ryan Richter has emphasized the need for the squad to remain focused and avoid complacency despite their recent success and position in the Eastern Conference play-off spots.

Sporting Kansas City currently sits at the bottom of the Western Conference, trailing the Seattle Sounders by 10 points. However, the team recently ended a seven-match winless streak with a 3-1 victory over Los Angeles FC. Sporting KC head coach Raphael Wicky noted that while the team's standing is difficult for players and staff to face daily, they are focused on preparing for the upcoming match against Philadelphia.
