Philadelphia updates infrastructure and reports local incident
Philadelphia is seeing developments in both its infrastructure and local culture. The Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Bridge, a vital link between West Philadelphia and Center City spanning the Schuylkill River, has undergone a $20 million rehabilitation. Funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bridge Formula Program, the project addressed a deteriorated superstructure to improve safety and expand accommodations for pedestrians and cyclists.
In South Philadelphia, an incident occurred at the historic Pat's King of Steaks. General manager Tom Francano reported that a customer, possibly a social media influencer, threw a cheesesteak at him following a dispute regarding the quality of the food. The establishment, which has operated for nearly a century, is a well-known local landmark.
