Philanthropic initiatives support Romanian students and youth
In Romania, several philanthropic initiatives are supporting youth education and development. RURIS and the Mereu Aproape Foundation have continued their decade-long mission by distributing 1,500 fully equipped backpacks to students. This brings the total number of backpacks provided through the initiative since 2016 to over 26,500. The current distribution reached students across eight counties, including Botoșani, Ilfov, Suceava, Hunedoara, Neamț, Iași, Mehedinți, and Giurgiu.
Separately, the Bog’Art Foundation has launched the second edition of its UPGRADE scholarship program. The initiative offers a total of 8,000 euros to be split among four young individuals, with each recipient receiving 2,000 euros. The program targets students aged 16 to 26 who are enrolled in high school, university, vocational schools, or advanced sports training. The scholarships are intended to support educational and professional development for those demonstrating initiative and a commitment to community impact.
