Philipp Lahm praises Miroslav Klose while criticizing Nagelsmann

Philipp Lahm has praised Miroslav Klose's coaching abilities in a column for Die Zeit. Klose, currently in his third year managing 1. FC Nürnberg in the second division, has led the team to second place.

Lahm noted that Klose possesses the 'DNA of a good coach' by keeping things simple and focusing on a core group of players, including talent from the club's own youth academy. Lahm compared Klose's approach to successful models used by clubs like Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

In contrast, Lahm criticized the current direction of German football, specifically citing Julian Nagelsmann. He argued that Nagelsmann hindered the development of the national team through 'many fundamental changes.' Lahm also expressed concern that many Bundesliga clubs neglect their youth development despite maintaining expensive academies.
