Philipp Müller claims neighbor dispute led to police intervention
Former FDP president Philipp Müller has revealed that a police intervention at his home in Meisterschwanden, Switzerland, was the result of a bitter dispute with his neighbors. The conflict stems from Müller and his wife's attempt to renaturate a 35-square-meter parking space to combat soil sealing.
Despite receiving building permits and losing legal appeals by their neighbors, the dispute escalated when police arrived at Müller's residence. Müller alleges the neighbors called the regional police to report him for allegedly violating a drought-related watering ban to maintain his green lawn. While the police investigation resulted in no fines, the neighbor subsequently contacted the media to complain about the contrast between Müller's green garden and the surrounding parched landscape. The legal conflict may continue through the administrative and federal courts.
