Philipp Ziereis prepares for Melbourne Victory vs Melbourne City derby

Melbourne Victory defender Philipp Ziereis is preparing for the upcoming A-League Men derby against Melbourne City at AAMI Park. Ziereis, a 33-year-old right-back, brings extensive experience from German football, having participated in high-intensity regional derbies while playing for St Pauli and Greuther Fürth.

Both Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City enter the match seeking their first wins of the season following opening-round losses in New Zealand. Victory has faced a demanding schedule under new head coach Giovanni Savarese, including an Australia Cup final defeat and an Asian Champions League 2 victory over FC Seoul, prior to their recent loss to Wellington Phoenix.
