Philippe Bouvard funeral held in Cannes

The funeral of prominent French journalist and radio host Philippe Bouvard was held on Monday, August 31, 2026, in Cannes. Bouvard, the creator of the cult radio program ‘Grosses Têtes’ on RTL, passed away on August 24 at the age of 96.

The ceremony took place at the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Voyage church and was attended by approximately 600 people, including family, media personalities, and local officials. Notable attendees included Chantal Ladesou, Marianne James, Julien Lepers, and Jacques Mailhot, as well as RTL representatives and Nice Mayor Éric Ciotti. Following the service, Bouvard was buried in the privacy of the Grand Jas cemetery.
