Philippe Starck designs Almazara El Toro olive oil facility in Ronda

Designer Philippe Starck has designed the Almazara El Toro, an olive oil facility located near Ronda, Spain. The project aims to transform traditional olive oil production into an immersive artistic experience.

The building features a cubist-inspired architecture, including a large cyclopean eye window as a tribute to Pablo Picasso and a massive bull horn integrated into the structure. CEO Santiago Muguiro noted significant engineering challenges, such as the installation of a 1,000-square-meter roof canvas painted by Ara Starck and the two-phase installation of the bull horn monolith.
