Philippine Airlines A350 business class offers improved service despite poor Manila ground experience

Philippine Airlines’ new Airbus A350-1000 business class offers a significant upgrade over previous products. The cabin features Collins Aerospace Super Diamond suites equipped with doors, Bluetooth audio, and various charging options including wireless, USB-A, USB-C, and AC. Passengers receive high-quality bedding and amenity kits containing L’Occitane products.

However, the ground experience at Manila Airport remains a major drawback. Transit passengers face significant delays, including long queues at international transit security checkpoints that have been noted for having insufficient equipment, such as a single metal detector and scanner. Additionally, the lack of elevators for baggage handling at certain points in the terminal complicates the transit process.
