Philippine Airlines deploys Airbus A350-1000 daily on Manila to San Francisco route
Philippine Airlines (PAL) has transitioned to daily operations of its flagship Airbus A350-1000 between Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila and San Francisco International Airport. This deployment aims to accommodate the year-end travel peak and provide increased capacity for the Filipino-American community on the US West Coast.
The A350-1000 is the largest aircraft in the PAL fleet, featuring a 382-seat configuration including 42 Business Class suites, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 316 Economy seats. The aircraft is equipped with 4K inflight entertainment, Wi-Fi, and various charging ports.
While the aircraft represents a significant upgrade in hard product and fuel efficiency, passenger reviews have noted inconsistencies in the soft product, such as inoperable Wi-Fi and varying levels of crew attentiveness, despite the competitive pricing of the service.
