Philippine Airlines launches paid Mabuhay Miles status match

Philippine Airlines has launched a paid status match promotion through a partnership with statusmatch.com. The program allows travelers to obtain elite status within the Mabuhay Miles program by matching their existing frequent flyer status from other airlines.

Participants can match to Mabuhay Miles Elite for $199 or to Mabuhay Miles Premier Elite for $349. While those eligible for Premier Elite may opt for the lower-cost Elite tier, the upgrade certificates typically associated with Premier Elite status are not included for those matching through this promotion. Approved status is valid through February 29, 2028.

Currently, Philippine Airlines is not part of a global airline alliance, which may limit the immediate reciprocal perks available to matched members. However, the utility of the status is expected to increase once the airline joins the oneworld alliance.
