Philippine Airlines receives fourth Airbus A350-1000

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has received its fourth Airbus A350-1000, registered as RP-C3513, at Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The aircraft arrived on September 2 following a delivery flight from Airbus’ facility in Toulouse, France.

The delivery is part of a 2023 order for nine A350-1000 aircraft intended to bolster the carrier's long-haul capacity, particularly for transpacific routes to destinations such as New York, San Francisco, and Toronto. The aircraft features a 382-seat, three-class configuration including Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, the jet has a range of up to 16,100 kilometers.

PAL remains the only carrier in Southeast Asia to operate the A350-1000. As part of its ongoing fleet modernization strategy, the airline also signed agreements at the Farnborough International Airshow for nine additional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft and 15 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, with various purchase rights and options for future deliveries through 2036.
