Philippine Airlines to expand Australia-India routes via Manila
Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced plans to expand its connectivity between Australia and India via its Manila hub starting in December 2026. The expansion, which is subject to approval from the Indian government, will connect four Australian cities—Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth—to Delhi and Mumbai.
This expansion marks the airline’s first service to Mumbai. The new schedule includes three weekly flights to Delhi and four weekly flights to Mumbai. The routes will utilize 168-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft, featuring 12 lie-flat Business Class seats and 156 Economy seats.
In addition to passenger travel, the new routes are intended to support cargo movement between Australia, India, and the Philippines. The services will also offer onward connections through Manila to other international destinations, including Los Angeles and Vancouver. To support the expansion, PAL is also offering a limited-time 50% discount on flights from Melbourne and Perth to Manila.
