Philippine drug enforcement agencies conduct multiple operations

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police have conducted several successful anti-drug operations across various regions. In Kalinga, an informant received ₱360,000 for providing information that led to the discovery of an 18,000-plant marijuana plantation in Tinglayan and the arrest of three individuals. This reward was part of the PDEA ‘Operation: Private Eye’ program, which distributed over ₱9.1 million to 28 informants nationwide.

In Lanao del Sur, authorities arrested two high-value drug suspects in Saguiaran during a buy-bust operation. Approximately 587 grams of suspected shabu were seized, with a national standard value estimated at ₱3.9 million. The suspects are facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In Sultan Kudarat, a 45-year-old man was apprehended in Isulan following a checkpoint operation. Authorities recovered 51.78 grams of suspected shabu, a pistol, and ammunition after the suspect allegedly attempted to evade inspection. The individual faces multiple charges, including resistance to authority and violations of firearms and drug regulations.
