Philippine police conduct drug and firearms operations

Law enforcement agencies in the Philippines conducted separate operations targeting illegal drugs and unlicensed firearms. In Butuan City, police arrested three individuals, including two classified as high-value targets, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ambago. Authorities seized approximately 66.72 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of ₱453,696, along with drug paraphernalia.

In Aroroy, Masbate, the Philippine National Police arrested five individuals, including an elected barangay kagawad and three Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit Active Auxiliary personnel. The arrests followed a pursuit operation triggered by reports of armed men harassing a local family. During the dragnet operation, police recovered four .45-caliber pistols, magazines, and ammunition.
