Philippine police officers adopt Dubai smart policing lessons

Two officers from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Major Richard Curada Luzano and Captain Modesto Dumanging Nahiwan, have completed the third edition of the Policing Innovation and International Leadership Diploma (PIL). The program was organized by Dubai Police in collaboration with Rabdan Academy and included law enforcement professionals from 45 different countries.

The officers noted that the training provided insights into advanced policing strategies, specifically focusing on technology, innovation, and community engagement. Major Luzano highlighted the importance of adaptive leadership and strategic collaboration to meet emerging challenges, while Captain Nahiwan emphasized the value of international cooperation and a forward-looking mindset for developing services in the Philippines. The training specifically showcased Dubai’s use of smart policing technologies, such as Smart Police Stations.
