Philippine State Universities Sign Service Contracts, Revise Farmer Policy

Guimaras State University formalized contractual engagements with JPA and ILOBAC on July 21, 2026. The agreements, signed by University President Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, institutionalize the provision of utility and security services for the campus.

Benguet State University released an official statement on July 28, 2026 regarding its Farmer Cooperator Program. The university highlighted a policy that bars individuals related to existing cooperators within the fourth civil degree from participating, aiming to ensure equitable access to cultivation privileges on University‑owned lands. It affirmed that land use rights are privileges granted by the institution, not vested rights, and emphasized fairness, transparency, and accountability in managing its agricultural assets.
