BrahMos missile systems for Philippines spotted in India
The final batch of the BrahMos shore-based anti-ship missile system for the Philippines has been spotted in India. The equipment features the distinctive digital camouflage of the Philippine Marine Corps, indicating it has been customized for Manila rather than using standard Indian configurations.
This shipment marks the completion of a $375 million contract signed in January 2022 between BrahMos Aerospace and the Philippines. The deal includes three batteries of the supersonic cruise missile system, along with mobile launchers, command-and-control systems, radar, and logistical support. As the first international customer of the Indo-Russian BrahMos program, the Philippines is integrating these systems into its Coastal Defence Regiment to bolster its anti-access and area-denial capabilities in contested maritime zones.
The delivery follows previous installments, with the first battery arriving in April 2024 and the second batch delivered in 2025.
