Philippines celebrates National Cinema Day with ₱100 tickets
The Philippines will celebrate National Cinema Day on September 12, featuring discounted movie ticket prices across the country. Organized by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP) alongside industry and government partners, the event aims to bring moviegoers back to the big screen.
Regular 2D movie tickets will be available for ₱100 at participating venues nationwide, including Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Major participating chains include SM Cinema, Ayala Malls Cinemas, Robinsons Movieworld, Megaworld Cinemas, Vista Cinemas, and CityMall Cinema, as well as various independent theaters.
The ₱100 promotional rate applies to regular screenings and does not include premium formats such as IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, or Directors Club, though individual chains may offer their own specific promotions for these formats. The film lineup includes both local and international titles. Tickets are released on a first-come, first-served basis through official websites, mobile applications, and physical box offices.
