Philippines central bank removes two crypto firms as US Senate eyes CLARITY Act

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) issued an updated VASP directory, removing Bloomsolutions Inc. and XenRemit Inc. from its registered Virtual Asset Service Providers list. The new roster lists six active non‑bank VASPs—Betur Inc., Maya Philippines, Moneybees Forex Corp., Philippine Digital Asset Exchange, TopJuan Technologies Corp., and WIBS PHP, Inc.—and two active bank VASPs, GoTyme Bank and Union Bank of the Philippines. WIBS PHP, Inc. was reclassified from inactive to active, while Direct Agent 5 was moved to inactive status.

In the United States, the Senate is under pressure regarding the CLARITY Act, a proposal intended to provide clearer regulatory standards for digital assets. The discussion comes amid a volatile crypto market, with Bitcoin trading around US$64,900 and Ether near US$1,950, and mixed flows in cryptocurrency ETFs.
